|  attractions in Xochimilco Mexico hi, what is there to do in Xochimilco Mexico and is it far from Mexico City? Also, how do you reach it? thanks |

|  Re: attractions in Xochimilco Mexico hi, It is well worth the visit! Xochimilco boats miles of canals built by the Aztecs for irrigation purposes but today you can take a boat ride along them. Xochimilco is about 14 miles from downtown Mexico City, and it takes around 45 minutes to an hour to get to by train from Mexico City. If you don’t like big crowds, avoid visiting on Sunday afternoons and come on a Wednesday. |
