| Mexico Mexico is home to great beaches in Cancun or Cabo San Lucas but it is also home to the Mayan ruins, Chichen Itza. Experience the culture during the Day Of The Dead festival or take one of the many Mexico Tours. |

My sister has Globalstar, but unhappy due to dropped calls. I am hoping either Inmarsat, Iridium or Thuraya would work dependably in these areas. I need to rent a phone before the end of this month. Any recommendation would be appreciated. |

| For the best voice and SMS service I'd recommend the Iridium Satellite Phone For data intensive applications I would recommend theThuraya Satellite Phone. I just returned from Mexico City and the outlying areas and only used the Iridium a few times since my Verizon service was picking up in the bigger cities. I wouldn't rely on cell service in Mexico though its pretty spotty.
