| I travel often between Mexicali, San Felipe & Puertecitos, and about 50 more miles south. Will this satellite service work efficiently in these areas? |

My sister has Globalstar, but unhappy due to dropped calls. I am hoping either Inmarsat, Iridium or Thuraya would work dependably in these areas. I need to rent a phone before the end of this month. Any recommendation would be appreciated. |

| For the best voice and SMS service I'd recommend the Iridium Satellite Phone For data intensive applications I would recommend theThuraya Satellite Phone. I just returned from Mexico City and the outlying areas and only used the Iridium a few times since my Verizon service was picking up in the bigger cities. I wouldn't rely on cell service in Mexico though its pretty spotty. |
