Default Baja Norte

I travel often between Mexicali, San Felipe & Puertecitos, and about 50 more miles south. Will this satellite service work efficiently in these areas?

What Satellite service are you referring to?

My sister has Globalstar, but unhappy due to dropped calls. I am hoping either Inmarsat, Iridium or Thuraya would work dependably in these areas. I need to rent a phone before the end of this month. Any recommendation would be appreciated.

For the best voice and SMS service I'd recommend the Iridium Satellite Phone For data intensive applications I would recommend theThuraya Satellite Phone. I just returned from Mexico City and the outlying areas and only used the Iridium a few times since my Verizon service was picking up in the bigger cities. I wouldn't rely on cell service in Mexico though its pretty spotty.
