Mexico

Mexico is home to great beaches in Cancun or Cabo San Lucas but it is also home to the Mayan ruins, Chichen Itza. Experience the culture during the Day Of The Dead festival or take one of the many Mexico Tours.

The Hotel Marionetas is arround your price range. There start from $95 per night. It is an old puppet theater which now has beautiful decor, a garden, courtyard and pool. The hotel is right in the centre of Merida and is handy for most attractions.

The city is probably best known, though, as the point of entry for exploring the ancient Mayan world. Archeological zones such as the the pyramids at Chichén Itzá and Uxmal make popular day trips. Several subterranean rivers attract swimmers, scuba-divers, and naturalists. Also a popular day trip are the national parks and visits to see the wild flamingo. There are buses which tracel back and forth between the ruins at Palenque and for around $20 you can take the bus to the ruins in Belize and Guatemala. Of course there are also beautiful beaches where you can spend the day relaxing

My stay at Hotel Marionetas was very pleasant and romantic during my vacation. Hotel Marionetas was suggested by my friend and I really enjoyed the place and weather with my wife few months back. It was a small bed & breakfast hotel, but has all comforts including swimming pool, internet, fax and aircondition. The cost was only $90/night when we stayed there. The people who are running the hotel were very friendly and we didn't even find any small fault on their service. excellent.
This Hotel Marionetas is located very near to Plaza Grande,Archaeological Museum, Paseo Montejo, Santa Lucia Park and Church. You can visit all those sites within a day.
If you want to book just call 52-999/928-3377 and make your reservation.

ACE Rent A Car is one of the reliable Merida Mexico car rentals company, just call them on 317 248-5686 and book a car. There are many car rental companies in Merida, each has different rates, it can be between £15.60 and £63.33 per day. You must be at least 25 years of age and Merida rental cars should not be provided for drivers under 21 years of age.

As far as I know, Merida has wonderful intercity bus system. There are lot of buses available to visit the key attractions, so bus is better than renting a car in Merida Mexico.

hi, I could recommend the Casa del Balam hotel which has the room rent $96 per night, it is also one of the cheapest Merida Mexico hotels. We stayed here from Jan.23rd to Feb.6th. Our room was in the second floor and really it was very clean with large bathroom included amenities like hair dryer, shampoo, soft towel and hot water. It has a nice pool in the back yard.Internet access was also available. I found only that the bed was hard, but other things were o.k. The free continental breakfast provided was nice. we had fresh fruits, bread and a coffee.I was only charged $96 per night including free parking, free mini bar snacks with beer and sodas.

Hope this would help you to plan...
