I must agree with everyone here and say that the most amazing surprise during a vacation to Mexico recently was the sandy beaches. I'd wake up in the morning before anyone else and then go for a barefoot walk in the sand. On two mornings I even found some medium sized natural sea-shells that made very nice souvenirs.

We also had a great time at the local restaurants, our group was large so we could get loud and nobody minded since we were paying well and drinking lots. ;)
