Mexico

Mexico is home to great beaches in Cancun or Cabo San Lucas but it is also home to the Mayan ruins, Chichen Itza. Experience the culture during the Day Of The Dead festival or take one of the many Mexico Tours.

Hi Sherri,

The Maya do not have large ruins in the region your cruising you'll need to go the Yucatan penisula to see the Mayan Ruins like Chichen Itza orTulum

You can find some ruins outside of Manzanillo in Colima. There are many interesting things to see such as the volcano, Basílica Menor, the Local Government Palace, the University of Colima and Cultural Centre, La Campana and El Chanel archaeological sites.

Attached is a map that should help.

Thumbs up Re: mayan ruins?

wow, thank you for the map and advice. Ive been to Chichen Itza and wanted to share some of that history with my kids but if not ruins, then volcano's will have to do. Your map will surely help guide us to many great locations. Thanks again.
