Wink Detroit Lakes Minnesota

We two friends have packed our bag to travel to Minnesota next month. We’re almost ready, just have a few questions left. We are spending 2 days in Detroit Lakes, need help on interesting things to do on that lake. Are there any nice and cheap places to stay and good restaurants for dining? Has anyone been there….

Default Re: Detroit Lakes Minnesota

The three interesting things to do in Detroit Lakes Minnesota are go-karts, bumper boats, and mini golf. A discount package is available for these three. One of my friends didn't want to go on the bumper boats and we lost money with the package. But if you go for all the three then it’s really a nice deal. The mini golf course was quite challenging but very interesting, so we liked it. We went in the evening because it was a hot day. The go-kart was very exciting and we planned to go again to Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.

There is a boat tour available around Lake Itasca. The current attraction is animal sight seeing but we only saw a few cranes, loons and a deer. There is nothing to buy so we have to take our own beverage.
Douglas Lodge is a restaurant cum hotel. After a hot boat ride we really enjoyed a bowl of ice cream to cool off. Also we just love the delicious food at The Fireside restaurant which is over looking the beautiful Detroit Lake. We had dinner here in the sunset, it had nice flavor and delicious. The views are really breath taking, so better try your dinner here.
