Hi there,

Omaha is probably the best place if you want traditional Nebraskan food. There, you can get your steak and corn as it hosts many of the top Nebraska restaurants.

Aside from the traditional food, places such as Old Market, it is a particular hotspot for eating oas it offers a range of excellent boutique eateries such as the Bohemian Café, which is a local favorite offering cheap and filling Czech and other eastern European foods.

Popcorn balls are a particularly popular recipe in Nebraska.

Local folklore has it that popcorn balls originated during the "Year of the Striped Weather," when a mile-long strip of blazing sun sat next to a mile-long strip of rain.

Supposedly, one farm in particular had both kinds of weather, and where the sun was shining on the cornfield the corn began to pop. Where it was raining, the rain-washed syrup from the sugarcane down a hill into the cornfield in the valley and over the popped corn, creating giant popcorn balls.
