double/multiple entry tourist visa

Have planned a 7 week vacation to India and Nepal in October this year. My intention is to visit Nepal for 2 of these weeks but when considering the recent strikes and visa issue concerns I’m starting to rethink my original plan.

I have been granted a double/multiple entry tourist visa but my question is..Am I allowed to re-enter India within a 2 month period? Does anyone know with certainty what you’re allowed to do? is Nepal a worthwhile destination if not?

Personally I would say that Nepal is definitely a worthwhile destination. Regarding your Indian Visa, you won't be allowed back into India with the new Indian Visa rules after visiting Nepal, so I suggest that you might consider catching a flight out of Nepal to coincide with your international flight back home.

This can be slightly complicated but as long as you pick an airline with a reciprocal baggage handling agreement for your Nepal/ India flight then you can simply transit through India on your homeward journey so yo won't need an Indian visa.
