any seasoned travelers to Amsterdam?

Does anyone here travel often to Amsterdam?

Would you say it's pretty much taken over by the red light district tourism? I mean...does Amsterdam have any good tourist attractions? I just don't really like the idea of all of those sleazy tourists everywhere looking for sex shops and such...Sorry don't mean to offend anyone honest?:)

Amsterdam is most definitely not overrun with Red Light district tourism. I mean, don't get me wrong many people (including me!) go to Amsterdam to experience the Red Light District but I wouldn't say that 100% of travelers do.

You'll find many tourists in Amsterdam, just like any other large European city, but that's part of the fun. You get to see all different sorts of people an places, and experience other cultures. It's very easy to stay away from the Red Light district, but I tell you that it's definitely worth a look!=)
