Nevada road trip

What's Nevada like by road, and would you recommend it? if so, can you guys recommend or suggest Nevada road trips?

Nevada travel by road is a great way to experience the majestic panoramas created by Nevada’s natural landscapes. Nevada roads themselves are great tourist attractions.

For example, Angel Lake Road is referred to as the "highway to heaven." as this beautiful road gains several thousand feet of elevation prior to reaching the spectacular Angel Lake.

Also, Highway 50 in Nevada is known as The Loneliest Road in America. It parallels the Pony Express Trail, which goes from Silver Springs through the farming town of Fallon.

[The Travel Slut]

I just completed a Reno, Nevada to Raleigh, North Carolina road trip last fall and that included a drive across Highway 50 (which I have done several other times also). and this time I stopped along the way to see the sights up-close with everything from the 'Shoe Tree" east of Fallon to numerous high "passes" with great views to Ely and Eureka towns and even the Great Basin National Park.

Definitely worth the trip with lots of time to reflect on the high desert but carry what you need and have some good tunes playing because it does have some long, lonely stretches.... :-)
