|  Re: car rental New Mexico hi there, Before renting a vehicle in New Mexico or anywhere, I would suggest to check out if your credit card covers car rental insurance as most major credit cards nowadays do, and if so, it will save some cash! Also, read the car rental agreement carefully and don't be shy to inquiry anything you are not sure about as they could be hidden charges. Finally, be sure to be in possession of the confirmation number of your rental agreement before you leave to pick up the car. Hope this helps Vacationbuddy
