| hey guys, we'll be passing by Albuquerque and we might check out the Rio Grande Zoo. How big is the zoo and is it worth checking out? also, how much does it costs? |

| Hi there, The Rio Grande Zoo now boasts almost 1200 animals, and as it is part of the Albuquerque Biological Park you can also check out the Albuquerque Aquarium, Rio Grande Botanic Garden and Tingly Beach. I would indeed suggest visiting the zoo, specially if you're traveling with kids. Rio Grande Zoo sights are diverse and include exhibits featuring Africa, Australia and Tropical America. The best time to visit the zoo is during the summer and fees for adults are around $10 and $3 for seniors and children 3-12 years old but do check rates before visiting. Hope this helps Vacationbuddy

| My sister has been here and she just raves about it! A walk through the Zoo is approximately 2.25 miles, with a variety of animals that you won't find locally. Some are native to Asia, Africa, Indonesia, Australia, and the Americas. Popular species include seals and sea lions, chimpanzees, gorillas, orangutans, elephants, polar bears, giraffes, hippos, camels, tamarins, koalas, Mexican wolves, mountain lions, jaguars, zebras, white rhinos and Komodo dragons. Definitely a "must-see" if you're going to be in Albuquerque! |
