NY to Florida by car or plane?

Would it be cheaper driving from NY to Florida than flying? It'd be 3 adults and 2 children going from Buffalo to Orlando-Disney. Has anyone done it?

Any tips??/Thanks!

Hi,

I know of someone who from Florida to NY and they found it cheaper and it was 5 of them. Cost wise they filled about 5 or 6 times which came up to around $250 which was cheaper than a plane ticket but that last year.

Gas prices are high now, though, so its airfare. Buffalo to Disney-Orlando is a tad less than 1200 miles so, if you include meals, hotels, and gas, you're looking at around $500-$600 driving round trip.

I think it's best to compare that number to airline tickets, transport from the airport to your hotel, rental car(?) and see how the numbers look.

Overall, I think driving is definitely cheaper but not convenient.
