Default Atlantic City is dead on Sundays

Don't think Sunday is a good day to visit Atlantic City of you're looking for entertainment as it's practically dead. The Boardwalk hotels and restaurants will be pretty dead on Sunday nights. If you're still going on Sunday your best bet will be the Eden Lounge at Harrah's which has a band till midnight on Sundays for a 30's and 40's crowd.

Hurricane Irene update: As you might have heard on the news, Atlantic City took a pretty big heat from the hurricane. It was the second place the storm hit landfall, after the Outer Banks of North Carolina. All of the casinos have re-opened, all 11 of them. Power is still out, but it should be back online in the next day or two. You will probably want to wait until Labor Day before you visit.

Default Atlantic City casinos closed

if anyone is planning to hit the casinos in Atlantic City, they need to know that almost all of the casinos are still closed because of hurricane Irene. I headed to Atlantic City last Friday and I was waiting in vain for a Greyhound bus before 5 a.m. last Friday at the Atlantic City bus terminal. I did not want to wait until later in the day, when one might be available, so I had to shell out extra money for an NJ Transit bus ride back home to Brooklyn, N.Y. don't get me wrong, I like gambling, but you don't play with hurricanes

What a bummer! That doesn't sound like a lot of fun. I would think things are up and running now. Are you planning on going back, ori6n3?

if anyone is preparing to hit the gambling establishments in Ocean Town, they need to know that almost all of the gambling establishments are still shut because of storm Irene. I going to Ocean Town last Exclusive and I was holding out in useless for a Greyhound bus before 5 a.m. last Exclusive at the Ocean Town bus terminal.
