New York

New York, one of the original thirteen colonies, is filled with popular culture as well as historical venues. Visit the Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center, and Niagara falls. It's a busy city with events held at Madison Square Garden, Time Square and exhibits at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Travel throughout the city is just as easy as hailing a cab or catching the subway and trains.

everyann Administrator Join Date: Aug 2006 Posts: 258	New York - Tokyo Music Festival The New York - Tokyo Music Festival is hosted by the Fujisankei Communications International (FCI) adn Sharp Electronics Corporation team. If you're in Central Park on September 30th be sure to stop by for a free, all-day, open-air music festival. That's pretty awesome! (I wish I could attend) There'll be a range of music genres, everything from Turntablism to Dancehall, Hip-hop to Jazz. You'll also find the years best music, game and anime music at this year's festival. In that large of a venue, with both cultures together, there's bound to be a lot of fascinating influences and respect from each side. So, even if you don't have an appreciation for the deeper side of music, this festival may bring you a bit more knowledge/insight to the music of our culture and that of another. It's designed for all ages, so this can be a great family outting or just a group of friends with very different taste in music.
