New York

New York, one of the original thirteen colonies, is filled with popular culture as well as historical venues. Visit the Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center, and Niagara falls. It's a busy city with events held at Madison Square Garden, Time Square and exhibits at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Travel throughout the city is just as easy as hailing a cab or catching the subway and trains.

Default weather in NYC in late April/early May

Hi everyone, I know there is a similar question already but i have some specific requests I hope you can help me with:

I am from Brisbane, Australia and we are usually pretty hot - temperature wise. I have looked on some sites that say they average NYC temp in Apr is min.6 & max.14 and May min.12 & max. 20.

This may sound silly, but what kind of "cold" is it? really windy and chilly? snowy? Would i need to be snug as a bug in a rug the entire time? my boyfriend and i are wanting to do all the touristy stuff and just want to know how much to pack.

Is there any real temperature difference between late Apr and early May?

Any help and info would be really appreciated...thank you :)

12 to 20 is about right for the temperature. May is ususally about the wettest month of the year so bring something to fend off the occasional rain. I would recommend layers and a medium to light jacket.
