New York

New York, one of the original thirteen colonies, is filled with popular culture as well as historical venues. Visit the Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center, and Niagara falls. It's a busy city with events held at Madison Square Garden, Time Square and exhibits at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Travel throughout the city is just as easy as hailing a cab or catching the subway and trains.

Default Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island

This is a wonderful thing to do in the city. If you are planning on visiting, you should give yourself between 5 and 6 hours for your visit. In order to avoid the lines for the ferry you should go on a weekday and catch the first ferry.

I've been to the Statue of Liberty before they discontinued letting people inside. I probably won't be back until they allow that again.

The New York Travel Packages our family chose before three years included the must see attraction, the Statue of Liberty. We have been reserved our ferry tickets and I just have no words to explain the 12 acre island located in the harbor. Ellis Island is a part of the monument with its main building that was opened recently. The Liberty Island had grassy spaces where our children had a great time playing. So that was one of the unforgettable trips we had ever been.
