whale watching

hi, we are going to new Zealand to visit a couple of friends. While we'd like to keep busy and visit some places. where is the best place for whale watching? can we get more information please?

Hi Jim,

The town of Kaikoura located on the south east coast is an ideal place in New Zealand for whale watching and has the largest concentration and variety of seabirds on mainland including thirteen species of Albatross, fourteen varieties of Petrels and seven types of Shearwater.

The best way to experience a whale watch tour is on a boat. Whale Watch is a marine-based tour operator that offers up-close encounters with the giant Sperm Whale so, it is worth looking at them.

In a typical whale watching tour, you can expect to see Seals, Dolphins, Albatross, etc. Depending on the season you may also see migrating Humpback Whales, Pilot Whales, Blue Whales and Southern Right Whales, etc.
