| hi there, Marlborough is the best known New Zealand wine region and the Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough is some of the best produced anywhere in the world. In fact, during the Marlborough Food and Wine Festival you can enjoy the food and wine of the region so I would suggest coming here then. The Auckland area is also a top New Zealand wine-producing region as well as Waiheke Island, which is renowned for its Chardonnay, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon. As a matter of fact, Waiheke Island is also known to produce some wonderful red wines, such as Cabernet Franc and Merlot, so look out for those. Hope this helps Vacationbuddy |
