Hello!

I'm thinking travel to Nicaragua in august. Do you think it is a good time?

Also, some people said to me that it is dangerous to be outside at night.. is this true?

The best time to visit Nicaragua is from June to January, unless visiting the rain forest area, when the month of August would be best.

Safety-wise, Nicaragua is one of the safest countries in Central America, but as anywhere in the world, you just need to take the normal precautions such as not flashing cash, driving at night and so on.
