| we are planning a scenic drive along Blue Ridge Parkway this September and I wanted to gather some ideas and get some input. Is Sepetmber the best time to do explore Blue Ridge? What about stop-over spots? |

| hi there, Fall is probably the best time to explore Blur Ridge, although I would suggest making your trip coincide with the Haywood County Apple Harvest Festival in mid October. There are many Blue Ridge Parkway Overlooks to be enjoyed along the way where you can stretch out your legs such as Cumberland Knob and Fox Hunters Paradise overlook. If you feel like driving along with no particular destination in mind, note that you will often see signs at overlooks which show a man with a hiking stick, which is your indicator that you've found a spot with a hiking trail. |
