Default Beaches near Greenville

If you're planning a visit to Greenville, or if you live in the area and are interested in visiting one of the local beaches, the Crystal Coast is one of the best options for this part of the state. The Crystal Coast has almost always been known for its family friendly beaches. Specifically, beach goers can look for Emerald Isle, Atlantic Beach, Pine Knoll Shores, known for its beaches and surrounding waters, Swansboro with waterside cafes and shops and fishing and water sports, Morehead City, where the NC Seafood Festival takes place, and Salter Path, which offers a very interesting history of severe flooding, a disappearing fishing community, and a rebuild into what it is today. Wherever you decide to go for your beach experience in this area, the Crystal Coast is most definitely a sure bet for a relaxing and enjoyable coastal vacation.

Default staying in Emerald Isle

Emerald Isle is a lovely beach, but there is not really much to do there besides a small water park and a mini golf course for the kids. Atlantic beach is lightly better in terms of hotels and entertainment, though it is still nothing like busier beaches such as Myrtle Beach or Ocean City MD. Saying all this, I have stayed in Emerald Isle a few summers and love the easy going atmosphere!
