| hi there, One of the most popular places in North Carolina is the Appalachian Mountains, which is one of the busiest North Carolina vacation spots during the summer. You can take a driving tour along the Blue Ridge Parkway and explore the Great Smoky Mountain National Park where you'll find camping spots as well as hiking trails that lead to waterfalls and excellent views of the valley below. The Outer Banks region along the coast is another popular spot. Whether you choose to stay in a rental home or a beachside hotel, the beaches here are among the best in North Carolina. Hope this helps Vacationbuddy

| When deciding where to go in North Carolina, it’s a difficult choice but these are some of my favorites. For breathtaking mountain views, take a drive along the 252 miles of the Blue Ridge Parkway located in North Carolina anytime of year. You can camp, stay at a lodge, and stop at scenic overlooks along the way. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is massive and if camping, it is definitely the place to pitch a tent. There are plenty of hiking trails, waterfalls, fishing lakes, whitewater rafting opportunities, and numerous birds, wildlife, and native floral species to observe and photograph. At the Cherokee Indian Reservation located in Cherokee, NC, along with the Indian village, museum, and handmade crafts, there’s Harrah’s Cherokee Casino for adult gambling action. Other places to consider include Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, Outer Banks, Biltmore House in Asheville, Grandfather Mountain, Murphy for antique shopping, and Bryson City for a scenic train ride through the Great Smoky Mountains. |
