Ohio travel in the southern part of the state reveals a lot of wonders. The South offers fabulous dining, a variety of shopping, museums, galleries and a host of other attractions that make an Ohio vacation here worthwhile.

You can start your Ohio travel in the city of Portsmouth to the east of Cincinnati which includes attractions such as the Southern Ohio Museum. Stroll by at historical Fountain Square and discover some of the best the city has to offer.

They have wide range of recreational activities including boating, fishing, swimming, as well as numerous historical sites and nature areas, depends what you prefer. Don't miss out those thick forest lands- full of waterfalls and sandstone cliffs.

Southeastern Ohio is really neat too. There is some really spectacular scenery in the Appalachian Mountains like meandering rivers and tumbling waterfalls. I really like Marietta, with its covered bridges and the Castle, a really neat old historic house. It's right across the Ohio River from West Virginia.
