| I am a British Citizen, so... Can i Live, Work, Own Property in USA by just going there? or are there other requirements? Also how long would i have to live in USA before being entitled to US citizenship? do you think its smarter to get dual US-UK citizenship? |

| Hello, As far as I know, you need a work visa to come and work in the states, and the employer has to be willing to sponsor your visa, which can be tricky. I guess the easy alternative is to marry an American!:) In all seriousness it is very difficult to get a US visa. Also, you can maintain dual citizenship so your kids can choose where they want to live when they grow up. I understand the desire to get out of England, but starting off can be hard in the states also, specially in New York. I'd say that Florida is a good starting place. Good luck! |
