|  popular breweries in Portland helloe, my brother and I are planning on visiting Portland next weekend as we can't make it to the International Beerfest, and we'd love to do a brewery tour of some sort. any ideas? |

|  Re: popular breweries in Portland hi there, It's a shame, the Portland Brewfest is in a couple of days and it's the best way to enjoy different beers. Places you can visit include: the Widmer Brothers Brewing Company which is among the oldest and largest in town. If you like wheat beer, this might be the king of all Portland breweries, since it is mostly known for its superb German-style Hefeweizen. Another renowned brewery in town that you can visit in Portland is the BridgePort Brewing Company, located on Pearl District. Regarding brewery tours in Portland, you can enjoy them guided or self guided. On the guided Portland Oregon brewery tours, you will get on a bus and visit at least three different establishments, and it is the best way to experience beer tasting in town.
