|  fishing in Portland Oregon hi, what area rivers are popular for fishing in Portland Oregon and has anyone fished in Portland's Harbor before, would you recommend fishing here? |

|  Re: fishing in Portland Oregon hi there, Don't eat everything you catch as not all fish are safe to eat on the harbor, apart from salmon, sturgeon, and steelhead. Apart from harbor fishing in Portland, Willamette River is a very popular place to fish because of the giant white sturgeon on these waters. Also, apart from sturgeon, the Willamette River yields healthy numbers of shad, walleye, and smallmouth bass. The Columbia River also offers no shortage of good fishing spots itself, with the Bonneville Dam area being one of the best places to cast your lines. Hope this helps Vacationbuddy
