|  skiing near Portland hi, Is it true you can enjoy skiing near Portland even in the summer? if so, when is good time to ski near Portland? and what are the best ski resorts near Portland? thanks |

|  Re: skiing near Portland Hi, Yes, this is true! Basically, Mount Hood stands at 11,239 feet above sea level, so it stays cool up top and is covered by glaciers at all times. Having said this, skiing conditions at ski resorts near Portland experience unpredictable weather, even in winter so it hard to tell you when to go. One of the best ski resorts near Portland is the Mt. Hood Ski Bowl Area, because you can also hit the slopes at night. hope this helps Vacationbuddy
