|  things to do in oregon Looking for things to do in Oregon. I'm new to Portland and looking for some things to go. I'm from the East coast and things definitely move at a slower pace. What's there to do around here? And is it worth traveling to any nearby states? |

| Re: things to do in oregon Well, welcome to the west coast! Things to do in Oregon, especially Portland ,shouldn't be too hard to do. So here are a few of my picks: Portland Saturday Market This is one of the oldest outdoor markets in this region. Portland Rose Garden This is one of the most famous/popular things to do in Portland. Ski Oregon Ok, this one is a bit out of season but hey, i didn't want you to exclude some of the great things to do. So keep this one for future references. |

 | Re: things to do in oregon Portland is also home to the World Forestry Center. The cute and friendly museum will explain the importance of the forest, which it's more important than you might think. It is designed to looked like a lodge in the forest. It's located in Washington Park, close to the Portland Children's Museum. Did you know that the UN has declared this the year of the forest?
