| This is a crazy story I had to post on Balloon Travel Kent Couch recently took a flight in his lawn chair, destination Idaho. Attached to the lawn chair were 105 balloons of various colors, drinks, snacks, and a parachute. Couch carried a GPS, a two-way radio, camcorder, and cell phone. He also had instruments to measure his altitude and speed and about four plastic bags holding five gallons of water each to act as a ballast - he could turn a spigot, release water and rise. Nine hours later Kent missed Idaho was short of Idaho and landed in a farmer's field near Union Oregon. He flew at 11,000 feet and higher.
