Default 2 sports fans looking for sport

Hi, since we don't get a lot of american sport across in Scotland, just wondering what sporting activities was on between the 12th May and 16th May as would love to catch a game of any sort while across in Vegas.

Your best bet is to check out a Las Vegas 51s game (minor league baseball)...it look like they will be in town during those dates...minor league baseball is always fun and the 51s always try to cater to the crowd and families as well...the weather should be perfect (not too hot) that time of year so you will enjoy the game

Yeah, what Ed said. The 51's are Triple-A luckily, so they're as close as you can get to the big time without having to drive four hours to Los Angeles. Outside of baseball, I'm hardpressed to think of another sport you could enjoy in Vegas besides golf (which isn't a sport), auto racing (sorry, also not a sport) and boxing (is boxing still around??).

But yeah, I live here in the states and I'm more than happy to check out some minor league ball, so I'd recommend that. Sometimes you can catch the team in some crazy mood where it's trying all kinds of strage gimmicks to get fans to come and maybe go home with some souvenirs or something.

I think one of the promotions on May 14 is that every fan over 18 gets to take a stuffed (more in some areas) stripper "almost" wearing a 51s jersey...just kidding, but dont put it past them..this is VEGAS! ..I know I have actually seen "Free admission" to strip clubs when you bring your ticket stub....go figure

I hate to disagree on the whole golf thing but since us Scots created it and the home of golf (St.Andrews) is just along the road from me then I'll have to defend it's honour and say it is a sport but enough abou that lol. Will keep an eye out for some tickets as I could quite happily watch a baseball game and will also look out for some promo's depending on what day we go. Is it easy enough to get to Cashman field from the Strip as are we best to go by taxi or is there a relevant bus we can catch that will take us past there?
