Default Vegas Grand Prix

I'm a huge racing fan so when I got this in the mail I thought I'd pass it along :) They've got a pretty slick website, even if the videos nearly gave this old man a seizure! Anyone from the area able to tell me if it looks like it'll be worth the trip? What's the buzz like? If it looks like they'll have their s*** together I might make it out!

TICKETS for the first Vegas Grand Prix went on sale. The three-day racing spectacle, set for April 6, will feature the season-opening race in the Champ Car World Series and a Historic Grand Prix race, along with other racing events, boxing matches, concerts, expos and a celebrity poker tournament. The April 8 Champ Car World Series contest will feature open-wheel cars that can reach speeds of up to 180 mph; the track is a 2.44-mile, 12-turn temporary street course on and around "Glitter Gulch" in the heart of downtown Las Vegas. There is no admission to the event site, but guests will need to be in a ticketed grandstand area to access the seating areas with premium race course views, to view Jumbotron video boards of live race action and to enjoy daytime concerts. All grandstand seats on the Fremont Street Experience side of downtown are general admission, while seating on Grand Central Parkway by the World Market Center are reserved seats with pit and paddock access. For more ticket and event information, visit www.vegasgrandprix.com.
