cliff_rancho asks: >So what is up with the topless bars I've heard about. I heard there were a couple of them, but I can't remember which ones. Oh there are plenty of topless bars AKA Strip clubs in Las Vegas. Just driving down the street you'll see them advertising on the Las Vegas Strip. Some of more popular ones are: Crazy Horse Too - Crazy Horse Too : Home Scores Las Vegas - Scores Las Vegas Spearmint Rhino - Spearmint Rhino Gentlemen's Clubs I personally have never been so if any readers out there want to comment I'm sure Cliff Rancho would appreciate it.

I've been to a few of them. The Spearmint Rhino is cool. Not a lot of pressure from the good looking women and always alot of fun. Actually going back to Vegas on the 5th and am going to take the wife to one of the clubs. Any suggestions on an alternate wife friendly club. She likes the dances too ;-)

Hey Stogyboy, The first question would be is where you staying? If you're around the Hard Rock and MGM end of the strip then I'd recommend the Club Paradise located right across the street from the Hard Rock Hotel/Casino, this place exudes class its one of the most beautiful clubs in Las Vegas. Tip: The quick hint: buy your entry ticket from a cabbie which will only cost you $5 instead of the usual $10. Quality drops during the slow season only to pick up again during convention season. They range from 7-9's with at least a 10 or two when the pace is fast, but there are a few 5 or 6's thrown in during slow season. If you're staying on the opposite end of teh strip you may want to stop by Olympic Gardens this place is the mecca of strip clubs the largest strip club in Sin City. Very nice decor and a male revue for the ladies upstairs. There are an incredible amount of gorgeous gals here. Mostly in the 7-8 range with 9's and 10's thrown in for good measure. Enjoy!

Then I'd have to say try Club Paradise its a 10.00 cab ride. The Hard Rock Casino is right across the street so you can always stop in there as well.

| Senior Member | I recently travelled to Las Vegas and visited several of the Gentlemen's Club's there including the world's Largest Gentlemen's Club-The Sapphire Club. Some of my observations: The Sapphire Club is one gi-normous club. There is adequate parking, including valet and a red carpet drop-off for limos & taxis, and the foyer/entrance is lined with sculpted art of torsos in bronze and other metals. I would recommend this club as it is very clean, upscale and has more than enough security. Many of the tables were occupied by couples and the age range appeared to be 21-70. The drinks were pricey @ $5-10 but they were not watered down and there was no pressure to either buy additional drinks nor any dances. There are two stages and several hundred seats. A generous tip to the host will most likely bring you to a table to your liking. The club is topless only, serves full alcohol and is for 21 and over. The typical cover charge is usually $30.00 per person (females and couples get a discount) and the club features many private rooms, lounges and V.I.P. areas. And on Friday & Saturday nights from10 PM to 2 AM, a club within a club has the Sapphire Club and Playgirl sponsoring a "Men of Sapphire" male revue and interestingly enough, men and couples are allowed as are photographs only in the Playgirl Lounge. Cover charge is usually $25.00 and there is crowd interaction and selected females brought on the stage (usually soon-to-be brides at bachelorettes parties). Another hot spot is Club Paradise which by some accounts has been rated the #2 GC in the world for various reasons. Club Paradise says it is also where Playboy Bunnies and Penthouse Pet's come to earn extra money between modeling assignments and that it has been voted "The Best Club in the Nation" two years in a row. The club itself is quite upscale, relatively small and the music a little loud. There is one stage and it features both traditional Gentlemen's Club entertainment but also some acts that you might find on the Las Vegas strip in a Las Vegas-type show & revue. The entertainers here are athletic & acrobatic. There is a "couples" atmosphere in addition to the regular party groups. The VIP room caters to the VERY UPSCALE crowd and due to its location across the street from the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, celebrities could be expected. Cover charges vary but average $20-25, there is excellent screening & security, adequate lighting however the women's restroom is located inside the dressing area of the entertainers. Definitely no jeans, and a collared shirt and long pants for men and a dress or club wear for women is expected. Again, as in most places in Las Vegas at night, club wear or "dressy" clothing is preferred and a generous tip to a host or hostess will sometimes allow extra consideration. The well-known franchise of Spearmint Rhino Gentlemen's Club's are scattered throughout southern California, Idaho, New Mexico, Florida and Ohio and they have one club in Las Vegas. They are also worldwide in the UK, Australia and Europe. Of the three Gentlemen's Clubs I visited this trip to Las Vegas , I liked the Spearmint Rhino best as it was classy from the time I stepped out of a cab onto the foyer until the time the valet called for a cab for me later in the evening. I would highly recommend this club. This is a 21 and over club with a $20 cover charge and the club has a full line of excellent drinks at reasonable prices and has a gift shop area at the reception desk. There was a large number of entertainers on the Monday night I visited and while the club was full or nearly full, there was less crowding of tables, couches, etc. than in the other two clubs. Again, I was impressed with the cleanliness and security staff and there did not seem to be any pressure to purchase drinks or dances. The atmosphere was casual and relaxed and the music at a comfortable level. In general, Las Vegas can certainly live up to any of its claims---- whether it be Sin City, Sun City or Fun City. There's been several transformations of Las Vegas over the past 20 years ---from a gambler's paradise and then to Sin City for adults and then to family-oriented and back to Sin City. People come to Las Vegas for many reasons and not all of them concern gambling. I learned that the reasons people now come to Las Vegas (in order) are: 1. To enjoy the hotel-resort & entertainment offerings 2. To shop 3. To eat at the myriad of restaurants 4. To gamble. Identify what you need to do first and then what you want to do next. You will not be able to do everything in a few days or even a week. If your primary goal in Las Vegas is to see every major casino then you have your work cut out for you. If you only want to gamble, then pick a casino where the odds favor your game and pocketbook. If you wish to simply enjoy the desert and the water activities or the sightseeing (like the Grand Canyon), then be sure to slow down and enjoy these things as time will be lost easily. Don't forget to hydrate in the summer, be careful in the full sun (especially on the pavement and roadways), don't jaywalk, don't get so intoxicated that you lose control of your senses (and your money, purse or wallet) and try to get some sleep in the city that never sleeps so that you have the energy to enjoy all Las Vegas has to offer. Also, remember that the workers live on tips so when you do get great service, tip accordingly.

Hi Travel Slut, I like how you broke everything down great intro for the newbie. I personally like nightclubs which I are off the hook!. I'm making plans to visit Vegas next year, last time I stayed at the Palms but this time I was thinking of the Hard Rock. Having a strip club across the street is a nice addition. Slone
