Peru

Experience the festivals of Peru all year round. Take a walking route on the Inca Trail , which leads to Machu Picchu, a town sitting at 7,000 feet above sea level with great Inca monuments. Visit the town of Cusco and get a taste of pre-Columbian cultures or see the artifacts at one of the many Peru Museums.

Wink rio to peru

Hi there. My name is mary and i am heading to rio in September. I am meeting a few friends there and we plan on doing the inca trails. At the moment the only way i know of getting to lima is by flying to sao paulo then on to lima and that costs about 400 euro? Do you know of any other cheaper way? Also who are the best people to book the four day trail with? Thank you.

Cool Re: rio to peru

Hello There,,

Good news for Rio-Lima flights. There is a new airline in the market called GOL. It is a Braziliean company which has entered the markt with very low prices. For example, one of my workmates just came back from Rio on a Lima-Rio-Lima flight for $216!! (this flight is advertised at $139). Also, LAN has reduced their prices to compete so they might have a good deal as well.

For the Inka Trail you have to be careful as spaces are limited and you have to get a special permit from the government which only authorized agencies (such as us) can get for you.

for more information click here and we will be more than glad to help. Enjoy!

the inka trail is a must,, dont miss out on it!

Rather than flying try travelling overland between Rio and Cusco. You get to do all the highlights as well as being able to travel with a degree of security. Its a real shame to miss out on all of South America between Sau Paulo and Lima. There are loads of overland companies. A few recommended ones are Dragoman (we travelled with them) Encounter Overland or Exodus

I hope this gives you a few ideas.... but don't see South America out of the window of a plane

Cheers Tash
