Renting in rural Peru

I am looking to move to Rural Peru (preferably close to Machu Picchu) for a couple of months. Does anyone know where I can find an apartment or a small house for rent in that area? Links, suggested search words, websites, information or anything suggested is greatly appreciated.

What's your budget? and how many of you?
Most people that want to stay close to Machu Picchu stay in a hostel or guest house as they are the cheapest form of accommodation, especially if you're by yourself. There are a few cheap hostels to choose from such as the Hostal Continental, Wiracocha Inn, and Hostal Presidente.

I'll be going by myself with a rent budget of about 1000 a month. I would love a private studio and I definitely want to be alone so a hostel is not an option for me.
