Is there any chance to take part in Peruvian festivals in September,we arranged Peru tour in Sep. anyone been there? how was it...... what are the most famous festivals in Peru...... any idea.....

There are many Peru festivals held at year around but really you are very lucky because the Peru Festival 2008 is going to be held on Saturday September 27th from 3:00PM to 8:00PM at Pearson Park Amphitheatre. It is a celebration of Peru's rich cultural heritage and a tribute to the Inka empire for all to enjoy. You can watch live music and dances, taste the delicious traditional Peru food and visit the art exhibition. This year they include a show of Inka & Pre-Inka Ceremonial Gowns in this festival, tickets can be purchased at Ritmo Latino Music Stores, even you can call them on (714) 829-4178 and enquire about the tickets. The ticket price will be $30 for adults and $20 for children, so get ready for the Splendors of Peru Festival 2008 and enjoy the time.

oh.... really? thanks for the information Andrew. it would be a great help. The time from 3pm to 8pm is more convenient fo us, we'll finish of the visits. the ticket price is also quite affordable,i'll book it out soon.

which is the most popular festival in Cusco?frind of mine told me that he has experienced the Cusco beer festival? when will be the next one take place? is it happen every year? really i want to join :)

You are most likely referring to the Cusqueña Beer festival. Cusqueña is a very popular pruvian beer with its headquartes in Cuzco city. Every year, usualy in July they have a big festival, but it is mostly jsut a big concert with local and popular south american bands. Not really a folkloric festival.

hi travbug, As far as I know Inti Raymi and Qoyllur R'iti are the most popular festivals of Cusco, but many of them take place year around. Inti Raymi is a one day festival held every June 24th to worship the sun. It is the second largest festival in South America and Cusco's largest celebration of the year. Qoyllur R'iti is a 3 days festival to worship the APUs and enjoy their ceremonies and dances. It takes place in late May or early June annually in the southern Andes of Cusco.

As your friend said, the Cusco Beer Festival is one of the popluar festival among the Peru Fesivals. It will be celebrated in the last week of May or early June every year for 3 days in the Garden of the Beer of Cusco. Young people from all over the country will come to participate in this Cusco Beer Festival. National and international musicians play live music throughout the afternoon and night.

My brother has gone to Cusco to visit his friend last May and enjoyed the beer festival, now he is in Cusco again!

thanks for let me know about the festivals of Cusco, what about the night life in Cusco? are there plenty of pubs and clubs? any disco places for youngsters? which place is popular for Cusco nightlife? any idea? thanks again:))

I heard from my Nephew that there's not really much nightlife in Cusco but you may have some beers, watch live music and enjoy the disco. In Cusco most of bars open from 11am to 2am in the city.The most popular place is Plaza de Armas and it has number of bars and discos.

hi there,going to Cusco reg. my ESL job and planning to live there for 3 months, how much do I need to spend for a month?anyone been there or working there? please help, i'm heading there next week.
