| Junior Member | Hello, There are some ways to travel to Peru; First one is to take the bus, a nice bus will be "Cruz del Sur" or "Tepsa" for almost the whole Peru country and the cost from Lima to Cusco is 60 USD aprox. and the duration about 17 hours. the other way is to take a flight (more expensive) consider to book a flight from Lima to Cusco, now the rates of flight around Peru is a litle expensive: from Lima to Cusco about 150 USD aprox. (one way) per person and the duration about 1 hour. One of the best routes to travel around Peru is as follow: Arrive in Lima: Not to much things to do there From Lima to the south of Peru: Paracas and Nazca Lines (7 hours of travel) From Nazca lines to Cusco (11 hours of travel) Cusco is one of the mos popular cityies in the world for the Inca's building like Machu Picchu, Sacsaywuaman, popular treks like "Inca Trail" "Salcantay trek" and much more. so, you need to stay about 1 week just to see quickly the main tourist places in this pintorest city. Aflter Cusco I recommend to Visit Puno (8 hours by bus from Cusco) where you could visit the highest lake in the world "Titicaca lake" (11810 ft) you only need to spend 2 days there, after Puno you could cross Bolivia (La Paz ) 4 hours from Puno. One of the best things that I saw in Bolivia was the flat Uyuni salt, Aflter that go to Argentina. |
