| hiya, In April we'll be embarking on our first ever trip to Peru and we can't wait to explore the ancient city of Machu Picchu. One thing I wanted to ask was about the town of Ollantaytambo. Is it worth a stop here and is there anything to and see here worth our while. Any ideas? |

| Hi there, Definitely! I would add the town of Ollantaytambo in the Sacred Valley area to your itinerary. Here, you can find the best surviving example of Inca heritage. Many of the building in the town of Ollantaytambo Peru were built by the Inca, and the majority of the Inca blocks are still intact. Also, if you are looking to add some adventure to your trip to this area, there are companies that offer river rafting excursions along Ollantaytambo. If you are tight on time and don't want to miss the Ollantaytambo ruins, you can book a Cusco tour that includes a river rafting on the trip to Machu Picchu. hope this helps Vacationbuddy
