Family jungle tour in Peru

I am trying to figuer out when would be the best time for a family jungle tour in Peru in the Amazon Rainforest. When are the wettest months and do you think summer is a good time?

It pretty much rains in the Amazon Rainforest all year around and it is also very hot and humid, so you can expect to deal with that regardless of the month.

Generally speaking, December through May is when the jungle experiences its wettest months, but even then, the rain rarely falls for more than a few hours at a time, so if you are planning a Family jungle tour in Peru, you can bring the family anytime.

However, if I had to pick a best time to visit the Amazon Rain-forest, it'd probably be from June to September, when you get less mosquitoes.

The best months to come to Peru without having to pay more than 1K for the plane tickets are October and November. It's Spring by that time so it's not too hot. There are many airlines that go to Peru. The cheapest one is Taca (a Central-American airline) but many friends told me that the service is bad. The ones I usually fly with are Lan or United. If you buy the tickets for Oct-Nov you will get them as cheap as 600 or 700 dollars. If you travel by December you might have to pay up to $1400 or more. The same with the months of June and July.
