| i'm wondering which is the best way to go about in Southeast Asia, credit cards, or traveller's cheques? do you think is a good idea to rely solely on credit cards. has anyone used credit cards abroad without any problems? |

| From experience, I can say that relying solely on credit cards is a bad move, no matter where you go in the world, especially if you'll be using ATM's to withdraw money. One thing that can happen, which is more common than people think is for the ATM to swallow up your card. Also, the credit card fees you'll be charged won't make it economical. Trust me, the best thing you can do is to carry as much money as you comfortably feel carrying, and traveller's cheques. Take the credit card with you only as a back up, and you'll be home sailing!:) |
