things to do in Iloilo City

I've looked around on this forum but can't seem to find any info on Iloilo City...I am looking for for suggestions on things to do in Iloilo City. any ideas on what to do there?

Iloilo City is a great base for fun outdoor activities like hiking and exploring caves in the nearby mountains. If you're just looking to explore the city proper, there are many interesting places you can visit such as the Iloilo Museum where you can see interesting exhibits like sunken ships loot.

You can also enjoy walking tours of the city to take in the colonial charm of the city and admire buildings like the Iloilo Customs House, which yo can climb to get excellent views of the central business district.

There are lots of historical churches and places in there. Also there great beaches where you ould enjoy surfing too.

If you want beaches you may try guimaras island. it's a 10-minute-boat ride from the city. I would suggest going to Jordan Guimaras to be specific. Great beaches are there. For side trips you can view the mango plantation and try the sweet Mangoes. (export quality). Just ask the local folks and they will tell you which way to go using the tricycle.

If you want to just stay in the city you can go to Malls and try to visit Small Ville for if you want to go out for a party at night.

For food stuff visit Tatoy's or Breakthrough. These are restos along the beach Villa District in Iloilo.

if you want historical landmarks then visit the old churches, especially the Jaro Cathedral in Jaro District and the one in Manduriao District.
