Philippines vacation

This thread is from last year but anyway, the question posted here applies to those who maybe thinking of dropping for a short visit to the Philippines. 5 days is a very short time for this country, esp. if you do not have any plans or ideas in advance.

I have met backpackers from Berlin, Germany this summer on the island of Mindoro (Puerto Gallera) and these guys were traveling for 6 to 8 weeks in the country.

If you have so much time, it makes sense to travel without any plans. As an archipelago, the most widely-used means of transportation in getting from island to island is of course, by boat, ship or ferry.

The bigger cities aside from Manila, i.e. Cebu City, Bagiuo City or Davao City, have their own airports and are easily accessible from Manila. But please remember that travel time alone in the Philippines consumes a lot from your vacation time.

So maybe if you are staying for a short visit, it is advisable to book a tour tailored to suit your time limit.

You should try to visit Boracay. It is truly a wonderful and splendid island in the Philippines. A day in Boracay is never boring!

if you're going for beaches then in visayas region is where the beautiful beaches. the famous one boracay is in visayas but there are lots of beautiful beaches every corner in central visayas. especially bantayan island. or pandanon island

Well, if you dropped off in Visayas and want to do some exploration you're not that far to Palawan. It consists of beautiful islands too and has exotic sight. I'm sure you'll gonna love it.
