Anyone knows an online large repository of maps?

Hello,

I need some ancient maps for a school project. Anyone can recommend a large online repository of maps, but not something like Google Maps ( with satelite photos ), I'm interested in classic kind of maps only online.

What areas are you looking at? You could try searching online for that particular area. Maybe a local historical society has some maps.
