|  Chichen Itza Ruins in Mexico What is a Chichen Itza? many of you probably have never heard of one most important of the Maya cities! Chichen Itza is located in the northern center of the Yucatán Peninsula, present-day Mexico and it thrived from roughly 600 CE to 1531.
