best surfing spots in Portugal

Hi there, we are planning to stay 2 weeks at the beginning of June in Portugal to surf and having fun. any good spots you know for doing these?

The Algarve hands down! You'll find that the Algarve offers not only some of the best surfing spots in Portugal but also the best nightlife spots.

Mind you, the Algarve is pretty loaded with tourists in the summer, though you may be ok in early June. Otherwise, if you plan to hit the Algarve in late June, I suggest hitting Ericeira or Peniche, which are a bit north of Lisbon.

Beggining of June normally is not best month for surf ... better for kitesurf because of the termic North winds that blow in the end of the day.

But try Sagres/Carrapateira/Arrifana and all the Alentejo Coast .. moving to Lisbon try COsta da Caparica, Carcavelos and Guincho .. moving up try Santa Cruz, Ericeira, Peniche .. and moving further to the North try Aveiro, Figueira da Foz, Nazaré and Viana do Castelo.

We´ve got plenty of Surf spots to explore over here.

My advice .. rent a low budget campervan with West Coast Campers ... try a google search for WESTCOASTCAMPERS, they also rent surfboards if you need!
