Ponce, Puerto Rico vacation

hello all, I'm planning a suprise vacation for my wedding anniversary in January and thinking to take my wife to Ponce, Puerto Rico for 6 days. I have searched info. about Ponce vacation in the net, but couldn't find enough details.It's well and good if anybody suggest good ideas and tips to build my vacation.thank you:)

Ponce, Puerto Rico's second largest city is a perfect destination for your vacation. The Ponce Howard Johnson hotel is one of the popular airport holtels and you can make booking online. It's located just 5 minutes from the Mercedita airport and 15 minutes drive from the city center. From the hotel you can hire a car and visit some of the nearest attractions such as Cruceta del Vigia,Tibes Indian Ceremonial Park, La Perla Theater, Parque de Bombas Firehouse and Hacienda Buena Vista Coffee Plantation. Also this city is home to several historic sites and museums, so you can visit this as well. And don't miss to visit Coffin Island which can be reached by ferry from Pronce. This island has one of the wonderful beaches of Puerto Rico and you can do swimming and snorkeling here. Ponce Museum of Art and Serralles Castle are very nearby to the Howard Johnson hotel, so if you get time just visit them also.

Ponce has no much nightlife but the Hilton's casino bar offers salsa music and dancing on weekends. Discotheques are not very common in Ponce and the Holly’s discotheque in the Holiday Inn features dance music with a DJ, usually on weekend nights. Some bars feature live music include Bogglers, the Pub Club and Hollywood Cafe. so have fun!
