what are the types of fishing you can do in Rhode Island? i'll be down there with my best friend next weekend..many thanks

Both shoreline and deep sea fishing out in the ocean are popular in Rhode Island.

What makes offshore Rhode Island fishing so good is its relative closeness to the canyon fishing on the fertile Continental Shelf, allowing more time for fishing and less time spent getting to the best spots.

One of the most popular type of fishing is Saltwater fishing and this type of fishing involves heading out into the open sea, looking for blue-fin tuna, marlin, and swordfish.

Then, you have Freshwater fishing in rivers, ponds, lakes, and reservoirs where you can fish for trout, large mouth bass, northern pike, and perch.
