Rhode Island Car Rentals

Hi people,

We'll be in Rhode Island in two weeks time and we're thinking of car rental companies. do you think we can take car rentals outside the state?

hi there,

If you rent a car in Rhode Island and take it out of state, you need to make sure the rental company knows about it and you are more than likely have to pay extra, especially if you plan to return it to a different point.

If you don't inform the car rental company, and have an accident in another state, there could be steep penalties so make sure you do tell them.

If you book your car rental as part of a New England vacation package there should be no problem with you taking the car to another New England state.
