fishing season in Rhode Island

we're deciding when to go to Rhode Island for fishing and i'd like to ask in this forum if anyone knows when is the fishing season in Rhode Island for trout and bluefish?

hi there,

If you're deciding when to go, trout season opens every year on the second Saturday of April at sunrise.

The bluefish, in the other hand, can be caught from May through November. In these waters the bluefish averages four to six pounds, with eleven to fifteen pounders not uncommon, especially in the fall.

If you're interested in fishing tournaments, they usually run from June through October.

Another thing, I would add also is that no license is required for deep sea fishing in Rhode Island unless you plan to sell your catch, in which case you'll need a commercial license.
